Testimonials

Testimonials

I have had regular massage sessions with Katy before going overseas. During this time I have experienced Katy as an extremely attentive and professional therapist. She would start every session with questions about my overall well-being and if there were any concerns that I wished specifically addressed during our session. Katy took time to get to know my body to tailor the massage technique to my needs. Not only did I get better sleep, deeper muscle relaxation but also the tension in my back was relieved greatly. I can recommend Katy as a very professional and caring therapist.

Will I get a rebate from my private health fund?

1.

Yes, MaPetiteClinic is registered with all major private health funds: AHM, ARHG, Australian Unity, BUPA, CBHS, Doctor's Fund, GU Health, HCF, Medibank Private, NIB, VIC WorkSafe.

What is cupping therapy and why do I integrate it into the session?

3.

My first experience with cupping therapy was many years ago when I used to have pain in my shoulder and hip due to many hours sitting at my desk. I was seeing a therapist that massaged me and incorporated cupping therapy. Whilst the technique seemed strange at first, I felt its benefits. Cupping therapy is a technique that bring blood flow into the area of discomfort and give good results in relieving pain and increasing the range of motion. It's also a therapeutic tool to use for lymphatic drainage that I highly recommend you try.

In summary...

5.

With my experience of cupping, shiatsu (meridians work) and massage in general, including stretching exercises, I believe that you will enjoy my style of massage: feeling more relax and pain free.

What does gentle therapy mean?

2.

It means that I don't believe in the "no pain no gain" theory and that I can achieve good results working the muscle slowly but efficiently. It also means that my primary goal is to get the right message to the nervous system so those tight muscles can let go. You will enjoy this gentle bodywork.

What is meridians work?

4.

While you are on the table for a remedial massage, I will be working on your meridian lines that need attention. Meridians are energy pathways that go through the body. When one of these pathways is blocked it can cause some discomfort. The goal is to get the flow back simply by using a gentle pressure point technique.
